In one of my recent post, I discussed the seed cycle and their importance in regulating menstrual cycles.
In first 14 days, you need to eat flax seeds and pumpkin seeds to keep your estrogen levels balanced.
Let’s understand what effect flax seeds have on Thyroiditis.
Flax seed is a source of essential fatty acids especially in the form of omega 3 fatty acids. The University of Maryland medical center recommends that people with thyroiditis should consume between 1000mg to 1500mg of fatty acids per day. These fatty acids help to promote healthy hormone production and act as anti-inflammatory agents. These are loaded with fiber, protein, manganese, magnesium, phosporous, selenium, folate, Vitamin B1 and B6.
Recipe: Take one teaspoon of powdered flax seeds with one glass of milk regularly in your first 14 days of your cycle. Mix well and consume daily. You can have this dose two times a day.
These seeds are boon if consumed regularly.
Caution: There are few conditions where estrogen levels are already high and so there is tenderness in breast. If that’s with you, please consult your gynecologist first before starting flax seeds.
More to come:)
